TRACS 203A Release Postponed

As you know, we are currently testing the TRACS 203A changes mandated by HUD last year. The deadline for submitting the newly formatted records to TRACS was October 1, 2017.

HUD announced yesterday it is delaying the TRACS 203A release again. Apparently, OMB is not fully staffed in the new administration and can’t approve the new forms in time for the current release.

The new TRACS 203A schedule is as follows:

  • February 1, 2018: begin testing the new 203A format in TRACS (but system will also accept 202D records)
  • June 30, 2018: end of testing (and last day TRACS will accept 202D records)
  • July 1, 2018: TRACS will only accept 203A records starting with July, 2018 submissions

We will complete our current testing on the new software for 203A. Part of our current testing plan is to work with clients to review the changes we made and get your feedback. We will continue with that process as well.

We will also continue to participate in HUD’s TRACS conferences to stay on top of any additional changes and report those to you.
