UPCS-V and What It Means For You HUD is currently running a demonstration program to test a new inspection protocol to replace HQS which is called UPCS-V. The purpose of this page is to explain what UPCS-V is and what it means for you now and in the future. Background: A few years ago, a PHA in Maine, using the HQS inspection protocol, passed the initial RFTA inspection for a mobile home. After a fire in the unit, investigations discovered that the fuel for heat in the mobile home was a barrel of kerosene on saw horses which was fed into the home by a plastic tube that ran through a hole in the wall of the structure. Submitting a Completed Ticket the First Time Since we’ve had such success receiving complete tickets from our new Support Portal, we want to keep the positive changes going. Through this new process we realized that the two best ways to ensure good, quality tickets and a faster resolution time is when you: Go online and use our new Support Portal Check out this video to walk you through what you need to know or access the Support Portal Job Aid! Call our Operators Starting tomorrow, March 1st, emailing support@tenmast.com will no longer create a ticket automatically. The only ways to enter a ticket will be the two listed above. This change will ensure quality tickets on our side and faster resolution on yours!

HUD Schedules “Industry Days” for PIC, VMS, and UPCS

HUD Schedules “Industry Days” for PIC, VMS, and UPCS   HUD has scheduled two “Industry Day” meetings in April: April 4 and 5 | Phoenix, AZ April 6 and 7 | Jacksonville, FL These will include a demo on IMS/PIC, VMS and UPCS-V with the goal of gaining “insights from PHAs and software vendors into the developments of the programs listed above.” They have also requested that agencies register for only one event since the program will be identical at both locations. One PHA staff member and one IT vendor representative per agency are invited as attendance is limited. Tenmast is attending the Jacksonville session. Afterwards, we will report back to you on what we learned and our plan to respond to the changes.

February Employee Owner of the Month Rhonda Phillips – Conversion Lead Programmer Rhonda is the Employee Owner of the Month! Though she hasn’t been with us very long, we aren’t quite sure what we did without her! With incredible dedication to all Tenmast programs, Rhonda is always reliable and willing to step out of the box to solve any problem, big or small. She has brought new knowledge and expertise to our team that has created change and bettered our software. Year End Deadlines are here! 2017 is here and along with it are Year End deadlines. We want to share some instructions and year-end preparation tips that can help you successfully navigate year-end processes. Please note the following deadlines: TOMORROW 1/31/17: Annual tax statements (1099 and W2s) for 2016 are due to each recipient and must be postmarked on or before this date TOMORROW 1/31/17: Electronic filing for 1099s and W2s, with information in Box 7, must be completed **NEW DUE DATE 2/28/17: Printed Information returns for the 1095 and other 1099’s must be filed with the IRS 3/2/17: Annual tax statements (1095’s) for 2016 are due to each recipient and must be postmarked on or before this date **NEW DUE DATE 3/31/17: Electronic filing for the 1095C and other 1099’s must be completed The Social Security wage limit is changing in 2017 from $118,500 to $127,200 Make sure Continue Reading…
