Marketing Manager

Tenmast provides enterprise-based software to the affordable housing industry. Affordable housing is a highly regulated industry serving low income families with housing and related services. Our systems include full management of applicants, tenants, rent calculations, inventory, finance/accounting, maintenance, document imaging, and executive reporting. In addition, our system helps clients maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Tenmast serves approximately 500 housing organizations nationwide with various software and service solutions. Our clients manage annual budgets ranging from $3 million to nearly $1 billion. Our goal is to provide them with the best tools to meet their fiscal responsibilities and manage their business efficiently.

Purchases of our enterprise software system are made through a formal procurement process that involves preparation of formal proposals in response to published RFP’s. Sales to existing clients is a less formal quotation process. We reach our prospects and clients through traditional communication channels, trade shows and direct sales.

YOUR ROLE:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the clear and consistent communication of our value proposition in the industry. The purpose of the Marketing Manager is to drive prospecting for new business and create leads tied to specific product and service offerings. You will accomplish three key functions inside the organization: create proposals for new client acquisitions, manage our Social Media Marketing & SEO strategies, and create client communication campaigns.

You will also be responsible for continuous improvement of our new business development systems and processes from a Marketing perspective. Tasks include ongoing collection of market data to support your initiatives and the Sales process, creating Sales collateral and executing Marketing campaigns.

The Marketing Manager takes direction from the Director of Sales & Marketing, and works collaboratively with the entire Sales Team, Product Development team and Senior Leadership Team. The Marketing Manager engages with all groups in the company, informing key decisions with strategic insights, and creating lean, value based messaging in the market we serve. Collaboration is the key to the success of this position.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Support business development efforts through responding to detailed government issued Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Create and implement strategic marketing campaigns
    • Work with key business partners on advertising opportunities
    • Drive leads for specific product and service offerings
  • Clearly and consistently communicate our value proposition and competitive advantage to prospective clients
  • Develop communication strategies to maintain client satisfaction and retention, including marketing campaigns, company website and blog, newsletters, brochures, press releases and collateral materials.
  • Manage Tenmast’s digital presence, including social media marketing and search engine optimization
  • Manage Tenmast’s internal and external communication standards
  • Attend user conferences and industry trade shows and participate in site visits to clients, and prospects (15% of your time in activities requiring travel)
  • Assist in creating presentations and articles for industry and association events
  • Assist in the creation of annual marketing budgets

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue through marketing programs
  • Marketing technology products and services preferred
  • Strong communication, content creation and creativity skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)
  • Self-starter
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage, and work independently
  • Ability to deliver projects under strict deadlines
