Web Hosting and Domain Registration
Hosting
To operate a Web site, a Web host is required for the application. A Web host is typically a company or organization equipped with a Web server and high speed Internet connection. This Web server stores the information, images, and other content for your Web site and makes it accessible via the Internet. There are three options for hosting:
1. Tenmast can host your site.
2. Your housing authority can host and maintain the Web server.
3. You can contract with a third party hosting service, such as your Internet service provider.
Our staff will help to determine the best solution for your housing authority and guide you in the hardware and technical aspects of Web hosting.
Domain Name Registration
To publish a Web site on the Internet, you must also obtain a registered domain name, such as www.housingauthority.com. Tenmast can help you find and register an available domain name.
If you are interested in having Tenmast create a Web site for you or help you with hosting or domain registration, please contact us for more information.
